It is mustahabb for a pilgrim to pray Dhuhr and 'Asr, and a short prayer at the time of the noon, two rak'ahs, and it is not mustahabb for the pilgrim to fast on the day of' Arafah. It is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade him.
